Confirmed or Busted?

On Monday, December 15th, my Education and Training class went to the Fort Worth museum of Science and History. There we visited the Mythbuster's exhibits and there where 3 activities that stood out to me. In response to Kallas-thenics, here is my 3 favorite activities at the museum

  1. Tablecloth Chaos- the objective was to pull the tablecloth out from under a table full of dishes. I learned that Newton's First Law of Physics states that the dishes will stay there unless an external force acted on it.
  2. Change Like a Superhero- the objective was to go in to a photo booth and change into a superhero costume as fast as you can. I learned that Chelsea, even with one hand broken, can change into a superhero faster than me.
  3. Running in the Rain- the objective was to walk or run through a tunnel and figure out if you get wetter while walking or running then you could go under a black light to see where the rain hit you. I learned that you get wetter while running.

Humor

Humor in the classroom

Humor is a big influence on me, I respond better in classroom situations with humor. My favorite teachers have been teachers that can teach well and incorporate humor. The best example of a comedian/teacher I've had is my physics teacher. My physics teacher has a sense of humor that is similar to his audience, juniors in high school, and he was able to relate to his students.
